Momentum is the trade association for the ICT industry in Northern Ireland and draws its membership from the majority of ICT businesses there. It was established to represent those with a common interest in promoting and developing the industry both locally and internationally.

Momentum has a number of advantages which make it an excellent partner for exploiting European Projects: access to SMEs from two European States; existing working partnerships and collaborations; and the expertise of its member companies.
 
As a region, Northern Ireland is uniquely placed to collaborate with partners from two closely coupled and culturally similar EU states, the United Kingdom, and the Republic of Ireland.

 
Momentum’s member companies  have major expertise in :
  • Telecoms and Mobile Telecoms – Aepona, InTune Networks, Openwave, Anaeko, BT. 
  • Financial Services – NYSE, First Derivatives, AllState , LibertyIT, CitiGroup.
  • Specialist Public Procurement Solutions  - Kainos, Lagan Technologies, Equiniti ICS, Northgate IS, Fujitsu Services. 
  • Medical Devices/Health Technology – The European Centre for Connected Health is situated in Northern Ireland. 
  • Education/E-Learning - TextHelp, Learning Pool, Aurion E-Learning, Synergy e-Learning. 
  • Cloud Computing – SAP, SQS Group, Novosco, Equiniti ICS.  
  • Digital Content - including 150 companies as part of Digital Circle.

Momentum is a core partner with a number of existing networks which bring SMEs together for technology projects. Momentum has extensive experience in partnering with organisations from other EU states.
